Buddhist Enlightenment Stupa aka Stupa of the Conquest of Mara: width — 21.5 cm, height — 36 cm
This stupa symbolizes the 35-year-old Buddha's attainment of enlightenment under the bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, where he conquered worldly temptations and attacks manifesting in the form of Mara.
This stupa or "Chorten" (Tib.: མཆོད་རྟེན་; Wylie: mchod rten) is not just a souvenir for decoration. It has been also designed for ritual purpose: there is empty space inside to be filled with mantras and other substances.
