We are happy to introduce our exclusive collection of 30 cm statues from Nepal. Here you can see perfect work and artistry. Enjoy it, please.
This amazingly fine statue of Medicine Buddha also known as Bhaisajyaguru or Menla (tib.: སྨན་ལྷ་, Wylie: sman lha) was made in Patan (Nepal).
Bhaisajyaguru or Bhaisajya-guru-vaidūrya-prabhā-rāja, what literally means “King of Medicine Master and Lapis Lazuli Light”, is the Buddha of healing and medicine in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Commonly named as “Medicine Buddha”. He is described as a doctor who cures all the sufferings using the medicine of his teachings.
Unlike most statues made for the tourists, all the details of this statue — such as the hands, face, etc — are made very carefully and in the details.
Each statue has some space inside to be filled by traditional way. This hole is closed by cover.
