Actually, the best matherial for the blade of such ritual dagger is meteorite iron poetically called as "sky iron" or "namchak" (tib.: gnam lcags) — worst kind of “dirty iron” or "dipchak" (tib.: dip chak, lDib lCags). But steel is acceptable as well.
